Government insulation grants:
Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) manages the home insulation grants package in Ireland. To be eligible for this grant your dwelling must have been built before 2006. Home owners including landlords and the owners of several properties may also apply.
Homeowners who wish to avail of the insulation grant must apply for a minimum of €400 worth of grant assistence. The grants which are available are shown below in the table. Most homeowners elect to have both roof insulation and cavity wall insulation done together to avail of the €500 grant.

It is not possible to avail of grant assistance for either roof Insulation or Cavity Wall Insulation individually as both solutions do not meet the minimum €500 limit. In most cases the home owner will choose to install Cavity Wall Insulation and upgrade attic Insulation at the same time.
